Who's Who

Minister: Rev. David Goddard

David has been the minister here since June 2010 having previously been a church minister in Southend. He first trained as an electronics engineer, starting out with British Aerospace, and is also a qualified secondary school teacher. He trained for church ministry at London Bible College (now London School of Theology) and is an accredited Baptist Minister. A recent highlight of his life is seeing a Bonaparte's Gull at Dawlish Warren. David is married to Claire and they have three children now scattered around the world.

Our purposes

We look to the Bible to inform us of our purposes as a church. We have simplified these down to four categories, which spell out FIRE.

Fellowship through belonging
Instruction in discipleship
Renewal in worship
Engagement with the world

Our prayer is that these purposes lead to a church on fire with the Spirit of the Lord.

The Church is a member of the Baptist Union of Great Britain, the South
West Baptist Association and the Evangelical Alliance.

Christians Together in Kingsteignton

We are part of the wider network of Christian
churches and work together with the churches in Kingsteignton St.Michael's Anglican Church and the Kingsteignton United Reformed Church.

We look for opportunities to work alongside other churches in the district as real expressions of Christian unity.
